We are a brand-new speakers bureau where you’ll find a collection of some of the world’s best and brightest from right across the startup landscape for your next keynote speech, conference, presentation, or workshop. 

Our entrepreneurial speakers are a diverse bunch, and they are some of the most talented people in their fields.

They’re entertaining, curious, sometimes provocative, and always inspiring and they’re some of the most genuine and engaging public speakers on the circuit right now.

And that’s partly because our speakers are in the business of trying to solve some of the biggest challenges of our time including tackling our climate emergency, working on gender equality, planning food and water security, reducing poverty, caring for our ageing populations, and using technology in myriad ways to make the world a better place. 

It’s also because they’re the sort of people you want to get to know. They are impactful, motivating, inspiring and goal-driven speakers who almost always get their audiences thinking a little differently about the world and their place in it. 

Once you hear their stories, you’ll be left wanting to know more. 

They’ll share stories about how they found themselves in the startup ecosystem, why they are still here, all the successes and failures (and there are plenty of both) and everything else in between.  

We have some of the most innovative and diverse voices from across the startup world and we’re just getting started.

And we’re just at the beginning. At the time of writing, there’s at least another 150 speakers in the pipeline just waiting to be part of our comprehensive onboarding process which includes professional media and public speaking training, a speechwriting and presentation program and of course a photoshoot for those all-important headshots.

At Startup Speakers, we’re all about fairness and inclusion and we work hard to foster equal representation for speakers from all backgrounds and genders. 

This is absolutely a core part of our mission. 

We always ensure our speakers are properly remunerated for their work and we look after them across the whole booking process. 

It shouldn’t be a big deal, but by choosing to have a properly paid, all-female panel and a female MC at our launch, we want you to know that we really do walk the talk. Of course, it would be remiss of us on this International Women’s Day to say that we genuinely can’t wait for the day when this sort of thing isn’t even worth mentioning. 

You’ll see great diversity reflected in our first cohort of 35 leading personalities including Michael Batko, Tina Funder, Alan Jones, Paul McCann, Hannah Moreno, Anushi Rajapaksa, Doone Roisin, Nikki Tugano and so many more. 

And of course, our very own founder, former refugee and startup extraordinaire Sam Almaliki has his own incredible story to tell. He got his first gig as a public speaker inside Villawood Detention Centre – that’s a whole other story, but it was just one of the stepping stones that led him to found Startup Speakers because as he says, ‘helping people tell their own stories and inspiring others, changes lives – I’ve seen it, and I’ve been it.’
