Ange Alcock

As a teacher who spent months of her life assessing her student’s work late into the evenings and across weekends, Ange knew there had to be a better way. It’s what led her to create Flohh, an online assessment platform designed by teachers, for teachers.

Teachers often talk about the relentlessness of marking. It’s a time-consuming and soul-destroying aspect of any teacher’s job, adding huge hours to teacher workloads.

Flohh is a clever tool that integrates student management and learning management systems and is fast and easy to set up. Best of all, it works by improving marking times for teachers by 40%, promoting consistent teacher practices and importantly, it’s been shown to improve student outcomes too.

Around the world there are more than 4,000 teachers reducing their workload with Flohh Version 1. It’s been such a success that this edtech is now being enhanced and Ange and her team are building Flohh 2.0, based on feedback from the current cohort of users.

When Ange isn’t challenging the status quo and making giant leaps with Flohh, she enjoys surfing along the spectacular coastline in South-East Gippsland Victoria.
